Purl strings Chunky - this version is the big sister of regular Purl Strings, the handy little gadget that allows you to slip these grippy little tubes right onto the tip of your needle so you can stretch your stitches out and try on an in-the-round garment.  But here's the best part - you're don't have to slip any stitches to waste yarn or anything because these guys hug your needle tip, you can just keep knitting!
